Godís word teaches that:

A. All have sinned and deserve to die and go to Hell.

B. Christ Jesus is God who for a short time left his place in Heaven and became born of a woman, lived a sinless life and died for us so that our trust in Him saves us.

C.† This trust results in a person's life changing (by the influence of the Spirit of God) so that this person becomes more like Christ.

D. Christ Jesus paid for all our sins by dying, shedding His blood, and then rising from the grave and going back to Heaven.

E. Unless we believe and accept this by faith on a personal basis, God does not save us.

F. Belief is trusting that Christ died in our place and accepting Him as our Savior.

†JOHN 1:12 ď..as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those that believe on His name."

†JOHN 10:28 "...I have given them eternal life; and they shall never perish..."

†JOHN 3:16 "...For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Remember that believing is more than a simple "head" knowledge. It is a trusting, repenting, and allowing God to change you to fit His mold. It is a commitment and an act of faith. Belief without action will not save. You must be willing to place your complete trust in Christ.

If you have an earnest desire to obey Jesus the Christ in these matters, then the Spirit of God has urged you to do so. Here is a sample prayer outline that you needs to be from your heart that will mark the beginning of your conversion:

" I agree with God (repent) that I have done wrong (sinned) and with God's help I will obey and follow his teachings ( word of God / the Bible ) and I am willing to give up anything that limits, interferes with, or is more important than my relationship with Christ. I believe that Christ came down from Heaven to be born of a virgin, lived a perfect (sinless) life, the only worthy One that died for my sins and the sins of all mankind, raised from the dead, and reigns forever.

Therefore, I trust in Him to save me from the punishment of Hell (since He took my punishment for me) because of my sin. I believe this is the only way I can be saved. I understand that it is important to read my Bible and pray regularly and to meet with others with the same beliefs regularly. I will also follow God's command to share the teachings of the Bible with others. I will also follow Christ example of Baptism to show others as a testimony of my conversion."
